SAT Test Prep and Updates for May 2021 Test
We will be offering SAT Prep for the May 8th SAT. The Schedule for the sessions is below. We will only have 10 slots for the May Test Prep. Please be sure your youth will be available to take these sessions. Right now, all test slots will be ONLINE. However, if the State Health Orders change and we can open additional in person slots, we will let you know at that time. (Note: If in-person is approved internally, we would follow all CDC published safety protocols and we would advise that each adult in the home be vaccinated for COVID-19 when their time comes.)
10 SLOTS FOR MAY TEST PREP…. REGISTER TODAY→
Due to the uncertainty around this Test Offering by the College Board and also given site availability inconsistencies, please review the following prior to registering your youth:
California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) will not require or read SAT or ACT Test Scores for the Class of 2022 and 2023 students. The predominant majority of private colleges in California will not be reading scores either. In addition, many western "bordering state" public universities will not be offering the test as well.
Across the country, MOST college - will be "test optional", which means that elevated SAT Scores will be helpful to keeping your youth's scores competitive.
On March 14th only 30% of the State's test sites remained open for the test. Test offerings were at schools further away in places like San Bernardino, Riverside, Simi Valley, Orange County and San Diego County. We will provide a recommended test site list within a week. We highly recommend early procurement of a test site for the test. Remember, there were NO test offerings in Los Angeles County since the high schools have not reopened for students.
If you register and pay for SAT Prep and your test site is canceled, we will offer Review SAT Prep (4-6 hours) just prior to a future test offering.
The cost of the prep is $120 to $200 for a prep that is normally $2,000 from Princeton Review. Once you have registered I will call you and let you know the cost.
If you are not sure if your youth should take the test, generally if their GPA is above 3.2, they are the best candidate for the test. If they are applying for Grand Canyon University, they should take the test no matter what the GPA. Feel free to call me at the number below if you have further questions about this or any other aspect of the prep for the May 8th Test.
