Your Income vs. The Pell Grant

College is expensive, we know. But guess what? There's a TON of affordable options out there just waiting for you, and it doesn't always mean loans!

In this video, Deacon John Wilson breaks it all down, but here's the gist to get you started:

Grants, Grants, Grants!

Forget just scholarships, there are grants galore! Pell Grants are HUGE, especially if your family's income is on the lower side. These are basically free money – you don't pay them back! There are also grants from your state university and even private schools have need-based grants.

Income Matters (But Don't Freak Out!)

Yeah, your family's income is a big factor in whether you qualify for a lot of these grants. But don't let that discourage you! It just means you gotta do your research and get your applications in order.

Pell Grants: What To Know.

The Pell Grant is a federal grant, heading for a maximum of ~$9,000. Which is only a drop in the bucket of your overall college costs. Financial aid is NOT based on how tight your budget is, it’s how much you’ve earned through payroll income, and a little on how many assets you have.

State and Private Schools: They've Got Your Back Too

Don't think Pell Grants are the only option. State schools have grants specifically for students in their state, and private schools often have need-based grants to help bridge the tuition gap.
